BOISE -- The Boise State Broncos (5-1) will face the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Rebels (1-6) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Coach Chris Petersen's team heads into the match-up with several important advantages.
First, BSU comes into the game with 5-straight historic wins over UNLV in the team's past five meetings.
Second, the Rebels come into the game with five losses already this season (and a single win against Air Force).
Third, it's BSU's homecoming, and the Broncos will debut their highly anticipated all-black jerseys, helmets, and cleats. Fans are also encouraged to wear "blackout gear" -- a move that will presumably strike terror in the hearts of UNLV players and fans.
Despite the favorable odds, Broncos Head Coach Chris Petersen says he won't discount the Rebels.
"I have a lot of respect for UNLV, and coach Hauck ... I think every week they are getting better," Petersen said during Monday's news conference.
Coach Pete then added, "If you're paying attention to their record, you're paying attention to the wrong thing."

The cost of tickets for the game start at $25, and go up based on the section.

HOW TO WATCH ON TV
Viewers can tune into the NBC Sports Channel (NBCS) to see the game broadcast live at 1:30 p.m.

ROAD CLOSURES DUE TO BSU HOMECOMING
You can expect traffic congestion and parking issues on Saturday in connection with BSU's homecoming celebration and parade.
Due to the homecoming parade, University Drive will be closed between Earle Street and Denver Street between 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. October 20th. University Drive will re-open once the parade has passed and it is safe to do so. The map of the parade route is available here.
PARKING AND TAILGATING
Paid parking lots at Boise State open at 8 a.m. on Saturday and cost approximately $10. A number of road closures this year could make some parking tricky.

While general and reserved game day parking is available at BSU, thousands of cars typically cruise nearby neighborhoods, parks, and businesses to score open spots.
That's why Boise Police remind fans that state and city codes prohibit parking in the following areas:
- Within 30 feet of a stop sign or yield sign
- Within 20 feet of a crosswalk, marked or unmarked
- Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant
- On a sidewalk
- On a yellow or red "no parking" curb
These laws apply to all motor vehicles, including motorcycles and scooters. Most parking violations carry ticket fines of approximately $47, and vehicles parked in hazardous areas risk being towed.
Additionally, BPD reminds fans that open containers of alcohol are prohibited in public areas, including parks, parking lots, and neighborhood streets. Police say they'll monitor for illegal alcohol use in neighborhoods surrounding Boise State, Julia Davis Park, and other areas.
SHUTTLE SERVICE TO BRONCO STADIUM
The Downtown Boise Association plans to offer free shuttle buses to Bronco Stadium. Shuttles run every 15 minutes for two hours prior to game time, and immediately after the game for one hour. For pickup and drop locations, see the Bronco Shuttle link on the association's web page.
STADIUM COLOR SCHEME
Fans are encouraged to wear a "black-out" color scheme for Saturday's game. For specific section information, see the 2012 color scheme schedule.
ADDITIONAL TIPS FROM BPD
However, BPD and Boise Parks and Rec. say towing will not happen until 2 a.m. for games that start after 7 p.m. during 2012's Bronco Football season.
Police also say alcohol and glass containers are prohibited in all parks, except for in designated park shelter areas by those with designated permits. Click here for more on Boise park safety regulations.
Police will post signs on the north and south sides of University Drive to restrict parking between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Vehicles may be ticketed and towed in these areas.
ADDITIONAL PARKING OPPORTUNITY
Fans can park at the Ada County Courthouse, 200 W. Front Street for each home game during the 2012-2013 football season at a cost of $5.00 per car. All parking revenue proceeds will directly benefit victims served at Faces Family Justice Center.
