BOISE -- The Boise State Broncos (2-2, 1-1) will face the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (0-3) Saturday at 8:15 p.m. MDT.

Southern Miss has yet to beat the Broncos at home or on the road. Last year, the Broncos defeated the Golden Eagles by 40-14 in Mississippi.

The cost of tickets for the game start at $25 for adults, and vary by age and section. Regular tickets can be purchased online, or by calling the Boise State Ticket Office at 208-426-4737.

NEW ALCOHOL TAILGATING RULES

Fans at this year's Boise State home football games will be allowed to drink alcohol at tailgate parties near Bronco Stadium.

The "Ten to Ten Zone" is between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Bronco football home game days where alcoholic beverages will be allowed in plastic cups.

Boundary map:

The cups cannot be see-through and cannot display brand names or logos of alcoholic beverage companies, and anyone consuming alcohol must be at least 21 years old.

Boise Police Chief Mike Masterson says this will allow officers to focus on other issues rather than ticketing open-container violators who are otherwise following the law.

PARKING AND TAILGATING

Paid parking at Boise State opens to the public and Bronco Athletic Association permit holders at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The cost is approximately $10.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to walk, bike, ride the bus or carpool to campus on that day in order to help alleviate traffic and parking congestion. A bus sticker is available at the Transit Center with Boise State ID.

OFF-CAMPUS PARKING DETAILS

Boise State Transportation and Parking Services encourages the public to park in downtown parking structures and ride the Boise State Bronco shuttle to the game. The cost is $5 per vehicle.

URS Parking Garage, 720 Park Blvd.

  • The URS Parking Garage opens to game day parking patrons at 5:15 p.m. for $5 per car. Free shuttle service to and from the game will be available beginning at 5 p.m. until kickoff, and again until one hour after the game.

Residential Street Parking

  • Boise State discourages parking on residential side streets. For those who choose to park on city streets, remember that vehicles are not allowed to park along portions of University Drive from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. Vehicles may not park for longer than 24 hours and are prohibited from parking within 30 feet or less of stop signs, or within 20 feet or less of an intersection.

Julia Davis Park, 700 S. Capitol Blvd.

  • Overnight parking in Julia Davis Park is prohibited. However, city parking enforcement won't commence until 3 a.m. specifically for this game.

University Drive

  • Parking on University Drive is prohibited from 2-5 a.m. Violators are subject to a $40 citation and their vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense.

DOWNTOWN SHUTTLE TO BRONCO STADIUM

The Downtown Boise Association plans to offer free shuttle buses to Bronco Stadium. Shuttles run every 15 minutes for two hours prior to game time, and immediately after the game for one hour. For pickup and drop locations, see the Bronco Shuttle link on the association's web page.

STADIUM COLOR SCHEME

Fans are encouraged to wear orange Bronco gear they want for Saturday's game, as it is "fan choice." For more information, see the 2013 color scheme schedule.

ADDITIONAL TIPS FROM BPD

Police say illegal and overnight parking is prohibited in all Boise Parks. Nearby Julia Davis park closes at midnight, and cars may be towed after this time. Towing for all other illegal parking actions can happen any time.

However, BPD and Boise Parks and Rec. say towing will not happen until 3 a.m. Sunday specifically due to Saturday's late start.

Police will post signs on the north and south sides of University Drive to restrict parking between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Vehicles may be ticketed and towed in these areas.

ADDITIONAL PARKING OPPORTUNITY

Police say fans can park at the Ada County Courthouse and help victims of child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence.

Fans can park at the Ada County Courthouse, 200 W. Front Street for each home game during the 2012-2013 football season at a cost of $5.00 per car. All parking revenue proceeds will directly benefit victims served at Faces Family Justice Center. To pay online, go to www.parkwhiz.com and select Boise to access the Ada County Courthouse parking option.
