NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Boise State linebacker J.C. Percy has been named to the 2012 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List, an award that is given to the top collegiate defensive player in the country.
The redshirt senior from Blackfoot, Idaho is a three-time conference all-academic selection and the Broncos’ top-returning tackler, registering 48 in 2011. He has appeared in each of the Broncos’ last 40 games since making his debut 2009, and has finished as the team’s second-leading tackler both as freshman and sophomore.
He is one of 42 student-athletes on the watch list, and one of 18 linebackers. He is also one of only two student-athletes from the Mountain West.
This is the ninth year that the IMPACT Foundation has recognized student-athletes throughout the nation who have had the biggest IMPACT on their teams both on and off the field. IMPACT is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity, characteristics that Ronnie Lott exhibited throughout his brilliant Hall of Fame career at both USC and in the National Football League.
