The United States Geological Survey reported an earthquake in eastern Idaho Thursday morning, one of several to rattle Western states.

The 3.2-magnitude quake was recorded about five miles from Bancroft, Idaho, a town of fewer than 400 people in Caribou County. The earthquake hit the area at 7:15 a.m.

According to the USGS, smaller earthquakes were also recorded in Stanley, Montana, Nevada, and California Wednesday and Thursday.

The Bancroft quake comes almost exactly a year after a 6.5-magnitude hit the Sawtooth mountain range, producing tremors felt across the region. More than 1,000 smaller quakes have been recorded in the state since.
