I-90 reopens near Idaho-Montana border, Lookout Pass after avalanche

The westbound lane of I-90 from St. Regis to the Idaho border closed on Friday afternoon due to "avalanche activity".

MINERAL COUNTY, Mont. — Interstate 90 is reopen in both directions from the Idaho and Montana border near St. Regis, Mont. after an avalanche, according to the Montana Dept. of Transportation (MDT).

The westbound lane of I-90 from St. Regis to the Idaho border were closed on Friday afternoon due to "avalanche activity". MDT said the westbound roads will be closed overnight and into Saturday morning, at which point road crews will re-evaluate the conditions.

The road way is now reopen in both direction there is still snow and scattered ice in some places. For the latest road conditions check the MDT website.
