BOISE -- Ada County election workers counted 28 ballots Monday that were not counted on election night.

Chief Deputy Clerk Phil McGrane says a discrepancy was discovered during a routine audit of last Tuesday's unofficial results -- there were 28 more voter signatures in the poll books than there were ballots counted in precinct number 2206, which is in Meridian.

"The issues that were actually impacted in this case were the West Ada school levy and the Meridian library district bond. Those were the only issues that got new votes as a result of this," said McGrane.

But McGrane says those new votes will not change the final outcome of any of the races.
