MERIDIAN -- A fundraiser for the Women's and Children's Alliance got a Halloween twist Wednesday.
"Witches Night Out" at the Village at Meridian drew a crowd in pointy hats. The event featured a costume contest, raffles, prizes and music.
Ramona Merrill, vice president of marketing for the Village at Meridian, said the fundraiser was a way to give back to an organization that does so much for the community
"The Women's and Children's Alliance does such amazing work in the Valley," she said. "We just recognize that there's hardly a classroom or an office in the Valley that hasn't been touched by some kind of violence, and we just really want to show our heart to the community and be part of this event."
One hundred percent of the money raised goes directly to the WCA, Merrill said.
