CANYON COUNTY - Idaho State Police say two people were taken to the hospital after a three-car accident at Orchard Avenue and South Indiana Avenue Saturday night.

Around 5:45 p.m., Hilary A. Wennstrom, 32, of Nampa, was driving a 1992 Jeep Cherokee northbound on S. Indiana Ave when she failed to yield at the intersection near Orchard Ave. and hit Troy D. Alsous, 42, of Caldwell, who was driving eastbound in a 2002 Chevy Venture.

Sherri E. Martin, 57, of Caldwell, was traveling westbound on Orchard Ave. and had stopped before the crash occurred, but was ultimately hit by impact.

According to ISP, the stop sign at the intersection was taken out during a prior crash.

Wennstrom was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Martin was taken to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell.

No word on the extent of their injuries.

Wennstrom was not wearing a seatbelt.
