You don't have to be a grownup to make a difference or make an impact in your community.

A group of local elementary students proved that this morning.

Students from Montessori Academy delivered toys, blankets, diapers and other supplies to St. Michael's Episcopal cathedral.

They donated the items to Baby Steps Idaho, a local nonprofit that helps low-income families through education and incentive programs.

The donations were collected through a school-wide drive.

"It's really satisfying once you do it, like you feel good about yourself and like 'wow I just helped moms that are in need,' said fifth grader Matthew Kircher.

During their visit to the church students were able to tour the facility and learn about how Baby Steps Idaho helps local families.
