Star woman reported missing found safe

Search and rescue crews were dispatched Saturday in Oregon for a missing Idaho woman.

UPDATE: OSP says Ruby Pike has been found and is safe. She was found Saturday night inside her truck, which was stuck in snow on a forest road in Grant County, Oregon. She has been reunited with family.

A search began Saturday for 52-year-old Ruby Pike from Star, Idaho.

Oregon State Police officials say Pike was reported missing by her husband Friday just after 11 p.m. and was last known to be in Portland. She was supposed to be traveling from Portland to Boise.

Pike's husband told police he last spoke to Ruby at about 4 p.m. when she told him she would call when she arrived in Ontario, Oregon. Pike never called.

OSP says her cell phone was pinged fining the last location was near Hwy 395b ten miles south of Ukiah. Pike's exact route is unknown.

OSP says Saturday units from Patrol Division and Fish & Wildlife Division, including an airplane, searched the area of the ping and were unsuccessful. Grant County search and rescue crews have been sent to the area and a missing person report has been filed in Ada County.

Pike was last seen wearing jeans, an orange shirt, and clogs. She is described as being 5'9", 180 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Pike is driving a 2008 white Toyota Tundra with a matching white Leer canopy with glass sides with three stickers on the driver's side tailgate and driver's doors of "Dallbello, Marker, and Vokal". The Tundra has all black custom slightly oversized tires.
