Eagle church offering free hot dog lunches during the summer

Every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the summer, you'll find volunteers at Hope Lutheran Church in Eagle, cooking hot dogs for the community.

EAGLE – A local church is doing some community outreach - in the form of a hot dog.

Every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the summer, you’ll find volunteers at Hope Lutheran Church in Eagle, cooking hot dogs for the community.

Pastor Mike Sager says it was something the church decided to do, saying they saw a need for it, and it was a way to give back.

The church says they cook about 140 hot dogs a week, all for free.

While donations are not required or expected, Pastor Mike says the donations from the church and the congregation keep this hot dog lunch going.

The free lunch will be every Wednesday through August 22! Everyone and anyone is welcome. You can find Hope Lutheran Church in Eagle, on the corner of State Highway 44 and Linder Road!
