Watch thousands of racers finish the Race to Robie Creek

Touted as one of the toughest half-marathons in the Northwest, the race saw thousands of racers from across the country lace up.

BOISE, Idaho — The 42nd Annual Race to Robie Creek is touted as one of the toughest half marathons in the Northwest, with thousands of runners from 30 different states gathering in Boise for it.

The trek started at Fort Boise, goes over Aldape Summit and onto Stage Coach Road, before finishing in a park on the backwaters of Lucky Peak Reservoir.

One Runner, Tony Senethabilay, said he registered to run the half marathon last year for the first time but suffered a heart attack two months before the race.

"It was the inflammation of my heart, it just came out of the blue when I was training and one night it just happened," he said. "And unfortunately I could not participate last year so I am way excited to be here this year for my first annual Robie Creek race."

Senethabilay was able to run Robie today with his wife, who has participated in the race for the last eight years.
