STRAY #3 in our 12 Strays of Christmas is Roamer. This bunny is celebrating the holidays in graphic style with his black and white soft, spotted coat. A one-year-old neutered male, Roamer is a sweetheart who doesn’t mind being held. He’s good with youngsters and dogs, too. He would, however, prefer to be the only rabbit in your house and doesn’t get along well with other bunnies.

Rabbits are wonderful companions to consider if you work during the day because they can be litter-boxed trained and stay safely in a cage while you are out of the house. However, they do require daily activity and hours to roam in a rabbit-proof space – so plan on spending time with them every day.

Like any pet, rabbits need responsible, committed owners. It’s important to note that they can live for a decade and do require specialized care, such as a constant supply of timothy hay and water, so please do your research before considering adoption.

You can meet Roamer (#37085268) at 4775 Dorman Street at the Idaho Humane Society main shelter, open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.
