It’s time to kick off our annual 12 Strays of Christmas adoption campaign! Every weekday until Christmas, the Idaho Humane Society is featuring a daily shelter pet in need of a home on KTVB’s News at Noon.

Stray #1 is Duke! This playful little mister is a 5-month-old sent to Idaho from Texas, where he may have survived a catastrophe or two, so we know he’s got the usual terrier temperament with a healthy dash of fortitude. Duke looks good relaxing or enjoying just about any busy activity. He’s a confident, outgoing, social dog who gets along well with other dogs, no matter their size! He’s eager to please and would benefit from regular exercise, but don’t let his good looks and charm fool you, Duke could easily learn best behavior habits with obedience training on his journey to being the best boy in a forever home.

You can inquire after Duke (#A37287654) at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St., where he’s currently awaiting his neuter surgery. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week.
