BLAINE COUNTY - The Blaine County sheriff is urging caution and asking people to stay alert amid flooding concerns in the area.

The sheriff's office posted a few warnings about the level of the Big Wood River to its Facebook page on Friday.

One warning was issued for river conditions in Ketchum, just north of the Big Wood Presbyterian Church.

Another was issued in Hailey, where the city started closing roads to all but local traffic - including War Eagle Drive.

The sheriff's office asked drivers to proceed with caution and to not enter moving water.

People are being asked to be careful at Heagle Park, and to keep pets away from the river.

Officials are telling pedestrians and bicyclists not to approach the river.

Residents are being asked to report all flooding to the sheriff's office.
