BOISE -- A woman is in the hospital and a man is in jail after an early morning shooting.
Boise Police were called to a local hospital early Monday morning after a woman arrived on her own with a gunshot wound, later believed to be self-inflicted.
Police then went to the home where the shooting took place and found 28-year-old Isaac Saldivar in possession of the gun used in the shooting.
After further investigation, police say Saldivar was not allowed be in possession of a firearm and later learned that the gun was stolen.
Saldivar was taken to the Ada County Jail and booked for felony unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, felony grand theft and a parole violation.
The woman's identity has not been released and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
It is unknown how the man and woman know each other.
