BOISE -- Did that roar from the Boise skies leave you wondering?

A group of F-15s caused a stir when they flew over town about 1:15 p.m.

The four fighter jets from Mountain Home Air Force Base flew low over the City of Trees as part of a ceremony at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

Military officials say the jets were honoring a commander who recently passed away.

The F-15s are stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base as part of the 366th Fighter Wing.
