The Boise Stage Stop celebrated its 11th annual Trucker Appreciation Day and Thanksgiving on Thursday by giving truckers a free turkey dinner.
The meal is a traditional turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce - and even comes with a slice of pumpkin pie.
A lot of truck drivers spend Thanksgiving away from their families and on the road, so this is the Stage Stop’s way of saying thank you to the people who work through the holidays.
"A lot of times people don't realize that truck drivers are out there, and they’re working driving all the time,” Stage Stop marketing manager Samantha McDonald said. “They're out there even during the holidays and a lot of people don't notice that. They just see a big rig in their way, so it's kind of nice for them to come and realize somebody cares."
Everyone is welcome. It’s free anyone with a valid CDL license.
