Body found near Rhodes Skate Park

BOISE, Idaho — Police are investigating after the body of a man was discovered near Rhodes Skate Park in downtown Boise.

The discovery was made at about 7 a.m. Friday just east of the skatepark, between the inbound and outbound Connectors.

The Ada County Coroner identified the man as 21-year-old Nicholas Keith Olson of Meridian.

According to Boise Police spokeswoman Haley Williams, police are treating the discovery as an "unattended death." There are no obvious signs of foul play, she said, although it is not clear how the man died.

The coroner's report says there were no obvious signs of injury during the autopsy.

Olsen's death remains under investigation and toxicology results and the cause of his death can take several weeks to determine.

Williams said the man's death does not appear to have any connection to the X Games activity.
