NEW PLYMOUTH -- Two drivers were taken to the the hospital after a school bus collided with a van near New Plymouth Monday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 4 p.m. on State Highway 52 just east of town.
Idaho State Police say the school bus was traveling eastbound when it collided with a westbound Dodge Ram van. The impact knocked the bus off the road and into a creek alongside the highway.
No children were injured in the crash. Police have not released whether students were riding on the bus when the wreck occurred.
The driver of the van, 58-year-old Margurite Lyons of Ontario, was taken to St. Luke's Medical Plaza in Fruitland by ambulance. The bus driver, 63-year-old John Fisher of New Plymouth, was taken to the same hospital in a private vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
