NAMPA - One man died and another was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning south of Nampa.

It happened at about 3 a.m. on Rim Road near Melmont Road.

According to Idaho State Police, the car was headed north on Rim Road when it went off the roadway and rolled. The two occupants were thrown from the car. Police say neither was wearing a seatbelt.

28-year-old Jose Puente Martinez, of Caldwell, died from his injuries at the scene. 33-year-old Jesus Silva, of Mexico, was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus in Boise. His condition is unknown at this time.

Police have not said who was driving the car.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
