The Idaho Transportation Department closed a 15-mile section Highway 21 Sunday night due to extremely hazardous driving conditions. The road is closed to repair a washout.
The affected section of roadway is between Eight Mile Creek Road and the Custer-Boise County Line (23 to 38 miles south of Stanley), or milepost 91 to 105.5
Motorists are urged to find an alternate route if you are driving to or from the Stanley area.
No word yet on when the repairs will be completed and the road reopened.
