The FitOne celebration has lots to celebrate today.
The nearly 10,000 participants who showed up last month to race, walk, or wheel their way across the finish line ended up raising $75,000 for the St. Luke's Children's Hospital.
"All of the funds that are raised through FitOne are for the purpose of providing education around physical fitness, nutrition and activity in our community for our kids to be healthier,” said Heather Hill, Director of FitOne. “So it's growing healthier kids who are going to ultimately be healthier adults in all of our communities."
This just goes to show you how impactful our community can be.
KTVB’s Larry Gebert was on hand today to help present the large check.
