Three Canyon County residents were arrested Tuesday on felony charges for wildlife poaching.

Shannan Norris,44, of Caldwell, Adam Norris, 27, of Nampa and Casey Dutton, 22, of Caldwell were booked into the Canyon County Jail.

It's part of a months-long investigation by Idaho Fish and Game officers and the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

It started last fall when officers found the remains of a bull elk killed before the legal hunting season near McCall.

Since then at least five other illegally killed animals have been discovered.

A total of seven people face 35 felony charges in the case.

Others facing felony charges include Bob Norris, 69, of Caldwell, Trey Painter, 22, of Caldwell, Chad Painter, 43, of Caldwell and Roger Brutsman, 47, of Wilder.

Each felony charges carries up to five years in prison and/or fines up to $50,000.

Each person involved also faces their hunting and fishing licenses revoked for a lifetime. That will be up to the judge's discretion.
