ONTARIO - Police are looking for witnesses after two men were shot in Ontario Wednesday night.

Ontario Police Chief Cal Kunz said officers responded at around 9:30 p.m. to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of NW 7th Street. They found evidence that a firearm was discharged.

Shortly after that, police received a call from Saint Alphonsus in Ontario, where a man in his 20s came in with at least one non-life threatening gunshot wound. A similar report came in after that from a hospital in Nampa.

Both of the injured men went to the hospitals on their own and were not transported by ambulance, Kunz said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ontario police dispatch at 541-473-5125.
