Police investigating after man shot in Twin Falls

A 36-year-old California man was taken by ambulance to Magic Valley St. Luke's Regional Medical Center for treatment.

TWIN FALLS -- Twin Falls Police are investigating a Monday evening shooting that injured a 36-year-old California man.

Investigators say the incident happened at about 7:10 p.m. in the 600 block of Washington Street North. Officers received information that the man who was shot left the scene and fled to the Oasis Stop and Go at the corner of Washington Street North and Filer Avenue.

The man who was shot was taken by ambulance to Magic Valley St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. He is expected to survive his wounds, police say.

According to investigators, the man who fired the weapon is a 31-year-old man from Twin Falls. Police have not released his name, but say they know who was involved and are not searching for anyone at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the case should contact law enforcement.
