Police: Man grabbed woman, cut her with knife in North Boise

The 18-year-old woman was walking home when a man grabbed her from behind, and used a small knife to cut her cheek and chest, police said.

BOISE - Police are investigating after a woman reported being attacked by a man with a knife in Boise's North End Sunday night.

According to Boise police, the 18-year-old was walking home around 10:30 p.m. on 11th Street when a man grabbed her from behind near West Fort Street.

The man used a small knife to cut the woman's lower right cheek and her chest, police said. The victim was able to pull away from the man and run home.

Her injuries did not require medical attention or hospitalization.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described being about 6 feet tall and heavyset. He was wearing a long-sleeve shirt.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
