GARDEN CITY -- A Payette man is facing charges after police say they caught him using a printer to make fake money inside a stolen pickup.

Police were dispatched out to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 9600 block of Chinden Boulevard at about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. The caller said a man in white Ford F150 had been parked at that location for several hours, and was printing what appeared to be currency inside the truck.

Officers arrived and talked to the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Wendell Roy Musser of Payette. Counterfeit bills and a printing apparatus were visible inside the pickup, according to police.

During the investigation, officers also learned the pickup had been reported stolen out of Ontario, Oregon.

Musser was taken into custody and booked into the Ada County Jail. He faces felony charges of counterfeiting, grand theft, and possession of counterfeiting apparatus, as well as misdemeanor counts of resisting and obstructing, providing false information to an officer and possession of paraphernalia.

Musser is due in court for arraignment Thursday afternoon.
