CALDWELL -- Two men are on the run after police say they shot up a car in a drive-by shooting Monday night.

The shooting happened at about 8:50 p.m. at North Illinois Avenue and Marble Front Road, near Luby Park in Caldwell.

Police say an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man told officers they were driving down the road when the occupants of another car opened fire at them. The victims' car was struck by several bullets, but no one inside was hurt.

The suspects are both Hispanic men in their mid-20s. One of the men was described as tall and thin, and was wearing a black hat, black jacket and jeans. The other suspect had a stocky build and was wearing jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt.

The men were driving a light-colored passenger car, of unknown make and model. They were last seen headed north on Illinois Avenue.

At least one of the men is armed with a handgun, according to investigators. Police say they believe the victims and the suspects may know each other.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
