Police hope a new sketch of a child enticement suspect will help them generate new leads in the case.

MERIDIAN, Idaho — Investigators hope a new sketch of a child enticement suspect will result in new leads in the case.

According to Meridian police, a 9-year-old girl told officers that a man approached her and offered her candy Tuesday evening in the area of NW 11th Avenue and West Woodbury Drive. The girl refused the candy, and that's when she said he tried to grab her by the wrist.

She managed to pull away from the man and run to safety.

The suspect is described as black man with a dragon tattoo on his upper left arm and a nose piercing. The girl said the man also had “odd front teeth,” and was wearing a mask over his eyes.

He is possibly driving a black truck with a silhouette sticker of a cat in the rear window.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the sketch or has information on the case is urged to call Meridian Police at 208-888-6678.
