A Meridian man is charged with marijuana trafficking and meth possession in Elmore County.
Cord Palmer, 25, was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop in Mountain Home.
He was convicted of drug possession and aiding abetting burglary in 2012, and has been on parole since October of last year.
The sheriff's office says the deputy who pulled Palmer over saw that he and two passengers in his car were acting nervous and suspicious, and called for backup.
Officers searched the car after the deputy deployed his narcotics K-9, which alerted after being deployed on the exterior of the car.
The sheriff's office says a search revealed more than five pounds of marijuana, a small amount of meth, and suspected acid strips.
Officers also seized Palmer's car and $488 in cash.
