BOISE - A suspect is behind bars on felony stalking charges after officers found him Wednesday afternoon, hiding in a backyard storage shed in North Boise, police said.
25-year-old Daniel Dives was wanted by Boise police in connection to a domestic violence stalking case, which began last week with a report of vandalism and harassment at the intersection of of Penninger Drive and Overland Road.
Police say the victim in the case told them Dives had repeatedly harassed her, and in the days after reporting the incident, he had attempted to contact her over the phone and in person, including showing up at her work.
Wednesday, police learned that Dives was possibly in the area of 23rd and State streets.

Officers searched the area and spotted Dives from a distance, but he escaped on foot. A short time later, police got a call about suspicious activity in a backyard storage shed near 24th and Brumback, and were able to take Dives into custody.
He was booked into the Ada County on felony charges of stalking, witness intimidation and probation violation.
