BOISE -- The Idaho Attorney General's Office has leveled charges at a Boise man accused of trying to get a 15-year-old to have sex with him.

According to investigators, 44-year-old Jason Douglas West communicated with the victim online, asking the teen to meet up with him after school for sex.

But when West showed up Tuesday at the agreed-upon meeting place, law enforcement was waiting. He was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of enticement of a minor.

Attorney General Lawrence Wasden says the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit at 208- 334-4527.

Wasden thanked the Ada County Sheriff’s Office A.C.T.I.O.N. Team, Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the US Marshals Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force for their help in capturing West.

He is due to appear in court Wednesday afternoon. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
