1/2 cup Lucerne™ Neufchatel Cheese or light cream cheese
1/3 cup shredded extra sharp cheese, packed
1/4 slightly heaping teaspoon O Organics® garlic powder
1/4 slightly heaping teaspoon smoked paprika (regular paprika can be substituted)
Dash freshly ground black pepper
1 – 2 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives
32-36 Pitted dates
32-36 slices of Deli Sliced “Tamed” Jalapeno Peppers
1. Add Neufchatel cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper and chives in mini food processor (an electric mixer can also be used). Pulse to blend well.
2. Cut each date lengthwise slightly in half to open it up (like a baked potato). Spoon about 3/4 teaspoon of the cheese mixture into the center of each date. The amount can be more or less depending on the size of the date.
3. Store in a covered container until you are ready to serve. Right before serving, place a jalapeno slice on top and place on a serving dish. Enjoy!
Simplify: Purchase a favorite cream cheese blend and skip the mixing. Simply stuff, top and serve.
