Dean is thrilled to be a part of Idaho Newschannel 7's team. He joined the team in December of 2014 after spending two years anchoring and reporting in Casper, Wyoming.
While at KCWY, Dean was fortunate enough to interview all of Wyoming's Congressional Delegation, along with two former Olympic gold medalists. He also spent his time traveling the state and spent countless hours on the road to get the story. He reported on a landslide that evacuated residents for nearly a month in Jackson, as well as a flash flood in the little town of Worland. In 2014, Dean was recognized as Wyoming's News Reporter of the Year by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters.
Before putting on his cowboys boots, Dean grew up in the small southern Oregon town of Klamath Falls. He didn't venture too far for college. He attended the University of Oregon where he received a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Media.
When Dean isn't out reporting or covering breaking news you can usually find him on the mountain somewhere. Dean loves snowboarding, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and photography. On Saturday's in the fall you can find him cheering on his Oregon Ducks.
