It is day four of Live Tour 2011, and we have already seen a number of beautiful Idaho cities. But today is the first time we have had the opportunity to see one from a bird's eye view.
Ray Arnold, of Arnold's Aviation, took me up in one of his small airplanes so I could take pictures of Cascade, Idaho, from the sky. Ray has been flying for more than 40 years... giving tours, delivering mail to remote areas, and even carrying skydivers so they can jump out of his plane.
Now that we trust Ray and his plane, let me tell you, the view was spectacular! There is nothing quite like seeing the snow-capped mountains, the thawed out lake, and the quaint town, all in one line of vision.
It was a quick tour, but it wasn't short on beauty. I was able to take about 50 pictures as we took a few passes over the town.
Take a look at the photos, and enjoy! The town of Cascade may seem small as you pass through, but I assure you, there is more to it than what you see from Highway 55.
