BEAVERTON, Ore. - In the midst of their most successful run in school history, Nike is once again ensuring the Boise State football team is dressed for success.
Today Nike announced the Broncos will be one of nine schools to don the newly designed 2011 Nike Pro Combat System of Dress uniforms during the upcoming season.
“Nike takes pride in giving athletes an advantage by providing them with cutting edge innovation," said Todd Van Horne, Nike’s Creative Director for Football. "The Nike Pro Combat system of dress uniform delivers unparalleled on-field performance benefits while inspiring the team through each uniform’s unique design.”
Boise State Director of Athletic Gene Bleymaier says he is thrilled the Broncos were selected to wear the uniforms again.
“Our selection last year to wear the state-of-the-art uniforms against Virginia Tech created a lot of excitement for that game," says Bleymaier. "We know this will do the same for our game against Georgia on September 3 in Atlanta.”
The uniform system was debut by the University of Oregon in the 2010 BCS National Championship Game, and incorporates the latest in performance innovation.
Images of the design will be available starting next month.
