FRUITLAND, ID -- With the verbal commitment of Fruitland quarterback Joe Martarano, the Boise State football program has picked up another one of the top football players from the Treasure Valley.
Fruitland Athletic Director Beth Holt confirmed the news on Wednesday that Joe gave his verbal to the Broncos on Tuesday night.
"It has been a long time dream of [Joe's] to play football at Boise State," said Holt.
According to Holt the junior-to-be will play linebacker with the Broncos, if sticks with his decision.
She didn't give any hint Martarano won't stick to his commitment to play with the Broncos, but she did say he has had several looks from college baseball programs.
Martarano was a state champion this year at Fruitland in football, basketball, and baseball.
