BOISE--  When defensive end Joe O'Brien graduated from Boise State, he was a Big Sky player of the year and Division I-AA All American. After a stint in the NFL, he turned to coaching, and rose to assistant at Montana State. But after that, things went all wrong. O'brien was arrested and sentenced to four years in prison for his role in a drug ring.

O'Brien was back in Boise on Friday to make an appearance at a book signing. His book, titled Busted Bronco, tells the story of his drug caused fall from fame, and how he managed to get his life back on track. It is a story that he felt he had to tell so that other people can learn from his mistakes.

"Just because my problem is my problem, everybody has demons in their closet, and everybody has to deal with them a certain way." O'Brien said. "I just feel like I'm open and honest about mine, and I just feel like if somebody reads it, it will help them."

Some of those in attendance at the book signing were O'Brien's former BSU teammates. O'Brien currently lives in Great Falls, Montana, and works as a motivational speaker.
