Following his graduation from the University of Colorado, Bishop Kelly grad, Cody Hawkins is continuing his football career on the international stage.

Hawkins is playing for the United State Men's National football team and on Tuesday he was named one of squads captains.

He and his five other co-captains will try and help the U.S. defend it's IFAF Senior World Championship in Austria, starting Thursday.

This year there are eight teams qualified for the World Championships, which take place once every four years.

Hawkins was the starting quarterback at the University of Colorado and played under his father with the Buffaloes, former BSU head coach Dan Hawkins.
