BOISE - While the schedule suggests football season starts next week, Boise State's George Iloka says it began months ago.

As of on nine returning starters on defense, the senior safety says the Broncos are using their experience to their advantage.  Due to their vast knowledge of the playbook, the players have been working ahead.

"My first fall camp we ran three plays," said Iloka.  "We've opened up the playbook this summer in terms of (player required practices) just because we're a veteran group on the defense.  We're practicing stuff we usually won't practice until fall camp."

The Broncos will hold the first of 26 practices starting next Thursday.
