BOISE -- Boise State senior center Thomas Byrd was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list, Wednesday.

The Rimington Trophy goes annually to college football's top center.

The California native is a three year starter for the Broncos and an All-WAC performer.

The American Football Coaches' Association, the Walter Camp Foundation, The Sporting News, and the Football Writers Association of America determine the winner of the Rimington Award by determining the consensus All-America center from each of those groups.
