If you've read my previous blogs, you know that I'm having a heck of a time adjusting to these early morning hours.
My wake-up call is 2:30 a.m. In the week and a half we've been here, I have forgotten if I've washed my hair, so sometimes I shampoo it twice during the same shower.
I have left my coat in the hotel room and had to run back for it, but today was the topper....I lost my glasses!
All I did was walk from the parking lot to the media center, maybe 300 yards and when I went to look at my computer screen I couldn't see it...NO GLASSES!
So, after several cut in's on Today’s Morning News, I backtracked to the parking garage and what do you know, my glasses were still sitting on the car seat.
But, that's not the end of this story. When I tried to get back into the secured media center, I couldn't.
Why? I had taken my Olympic credentials off during my live shots, and I had FORGOTTEN to put them back on!
So, with my newly found glasses, I looked up my photographer Gary Salzman's number on my cell phone and called him during his breakfast break.
Mind you he wasn't a happy camper, but with MY credentials in HIS hands Gary came running to my rescue.
I need to praise him for that, because he has been great friend here, never responding when I sigh out loud "Am I losing it at these games?"
