SALEM -- Officers taking part in a drug investigation found a murder victim inside a Salem home Thursday and arrested one suspect.

Detectives and Marion County SWAT officers served a search warrant at 4761 Indiana Avenue NE. Thursday and said they found " information" that led them to believe a murder had taken place.

"Throughout the course of the investigation, a body was located in another neighborhood in NE Salem. The deceased has not been positively identified at this time and the investigation is ongoing," said Lt. Sheila Lorance with the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Manuel Garibay, 28, of Salem, was arrested on charges of murder, unlawful use of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm and abuse of a corpse. However, investigators have not said exactly what they believe he did to the corpse.

The victim's identity was withheld, pending notification of family members.
