ASHLAND, Ore. -- Ashland police say a Medford teenager facing kidnapping and other charges drove off in a friend's car with the friend's baby in the back.
They said Lauryne Stubbs had accompanied the mother to Ashland to see a friend early Monday, and when the mother went into the friend's house, Stubbs drove off with the 19-month-old boy buckled in the back.
The mother called in to report the car theft and police soon found the car rolled over.
Stubbs and the boy had minor injuries.
She also was charged with car theft, assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
The mother was not charged.
