Morgan Boydston

Morgan is beyond excited to be back in the beautiful Treasure Valley! After moving to Idaho from sunny San Diego in 2006, Morgan attended school at Eagle High, graduating in 2011. She then went on to become a CU Boulder Buffalo and graduated on the Dean’s List in May of 2015. After a short stint at the NBC/Fox affiliate in Tyler, Texas, Morgan has returned to her roots and is eager to report the news back home in the Gem State.

Morgan particularly enjoys political beats and investigative stories. During her time in Tyler, Morgan reported live from presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz’s visit and had the opportunity to interview the senator. She also interviewed Governor of Texas Greg Abbott about his support for local politics in East Texas. Morgan’s passion for human interest pieces came about when she covered the story of a local family whose home was destroyed by a tornado and their paperwork disappeared in the FEMA system. She worked with FEMA to help the family receive the assistance they needed.

When she’s not chasing down leads and breaking news, Morgan thoroughly enjoys the outdoors. She loves running, hiking and rafting everywhere in the Rocky Mountains and is always up for an adventure! After living in Colorado, she has become a coffee-nut, hot yoga addict and major foodie. As a Chi Omega sorority alumni, Morgan is deeply invested in the Make-A-Wish Foundation and has a passion for philanthropy.

Morgan knows firsthand that Idahoans deeply care about this state, which is why she is so excited to be working for Idaho’s News Channel and covering stories that really hit home. If you have any story ideas, let Morgan know! You can e-mail her, follow her on Twitter and ‘Like’ her on Facebook.
